The basis of design was to include all current and planned product programs through 2010 and allowed for three (3) days of staged, finished goods inside the facility.
Our team developed materials spreadsheets that allowed logistics sizing and storage area allocations to be finalized. The entire operation was redefined to get materials close to work cells and through the facility from receiving of raw materials to finished products staging and shipping.
Once we defined the internal process flow required and sized the logistics spaces our team developed a conceptual layout for the total facility including the expansion.
After the final layout was determined, our team developed a construction sequencing and implementation strategy to accommodate full production of all work cells during the expansion project.
